Blast Programming V6.0 and results
This month due to schedules we wanted to try something different and we took a week for the electricity blast. Only two projects were developed this time and only one was “finished” (if there is such a thing).

This “game” was made to test out 2d fluid dynamics and potential for interesting game play mechanics. This project implements a fluid solver ported from Java written by Cal Tech, It is based of Jos Stam’s paper “Real-Time Fluid Dynamics for Games”.

Blast Programming Weekend V5.0 Results
Earthquake results are in and we had 4 earth shattering games! Great work every one, I think we all felt like we ran out of time on this one.

On the run from Nikola Tesla with his prized and experimental earthquake machine you must take down buildings to avoid cops. Don’t get caught with the Magic Murder Machine or they’ll give you the chair!

Tectonics

You play mother nature and you have had enough of those pesky little humans setting up shop on your crust and your are taking matters into your own hands. Destroy the buildings and try to cause as much damage possible before they build too high.

It looks like our weekly meet might be cancelled or postponed due to every one already going out and getting super drunk down town, so we will make an announcement about meeting over the weekend or at a later date.

Growth Fortnight Win!
The fortnight and the showcase were a great sucess. Thanks to every one that participated and came to the event. Special thanks to DJ Dolston and DJ Enyd for the great music, and thanks to Swizles for the venue and Drinks! All the games were great and the blue ribbon for “Best in Show” goes to Cerbergator: The Sewer Raiders by Jeff Townson, Steve Ngu, Chris Riviore. Cerbergator: The Sewer Raiders

You play as a gator flushed down a toilet trying to eat food to grow big so you can get revenge and jump out of the toilet to bite the one who flushed you. You also are competing against your Siamese brother heads who are trying to get big as well. food is limited, while crap is not. Will you survive?

-800×600 maximum resolution
-2-4 Players
-5 minute game-time
-Due on May 14 at 9pm, you must make a submission post in the correct forum by then, you are free to update after the fact, but we can’t guarantee what version we test.
Extra considerations will be given for games that:
- are the most fun while inebriated
- have unique game-play features
- have extra interesting graphical flair
